Mental Health programme for children and caregivers/parents

Research shows that children who are sexually abused may experience increased rates of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, which may persist into adulthood. Additionally, vulnerability may also be increased at the family-level, due to domestic violence and dysfunctional families. It is important to prioritize mental health interventions such as screening, and diagnosis of mental health among CSE children and their caregivers/parents in order to prevent and manage both short and long term effects.

This is addressed through:

  • Group therapy (for children)
  • Family therapy (children & caregivers/parents)
  • Child led support groups
