Child meaningful participation in program implementing & monitoring

The Convention on the Rights of the Child clearly outlines the child’s right to be heard under article 12. This is the pillar is establishing meaningful children participation in programmes. Children meaningful participation is a continuous process that is undertaken in Child Rights Programming to ensure acceptability, feasibility, responsibility and accountability of program interventions. Under the Linda Mtoto program, children are continuously involved in the program design, implementation and monitoring through the following approaches:

 Engagements in the Project Advisory Board (PAB)

  • Drawings from children
  • Development of resource materials
  • Interschool competition
  • Participants/respondents in routine data collection
