For over two decades, ICRHK has continued to provide HIV prevention, care and treatment services to Key and Vulnerable populations through six Drop-in Centres in Kenya’s Coastal region, contributing to 65% coverage of active Key Populations in Mombasa and 128% coverage in Kilifi. Our HIV programs continue to close the gap in provision and access to friendly HIV services that meet the needs of key populations who are disproportionately affected by HIV and STIs.
Through community-led innovations, the program has ensured that no key population is left behind in knowing their HIV status, while sustaining over 96% linkage to treatment and achieving 99% viral suppression. We have also expanded testing sites and targeted community outreaches, which have enabled earlier diagnosis, preventing thousands of potential transmissions.
